 Police Shomreem Ministries

The vision of Police Shomreem Ministries is to: develop a countywide group of chaplains and law enforcement agencies willing to partnership together primarily in Lake County, Illinois.  We pray that this ministry will grow beyond both Lake and McHenry Counties.  We are associated with and partnership with ministers in McHenry County, IL and Kenosha County, WI.  These ministries strive to serve Law Enforcement emergency services personnel.  We are available to serve during local disaster relief efforts and major incident responses.  Our prayers are to serve the needs of the police officers and citizens in these communities.

As a shepherd watches the flock, this ministry will be there to support, counsel and minister to those who serve, watch and protect.  We will be the watchmen for the watchmen.  

“For thus says the L-rd G-D, "Behold, I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out. " As a shepherd cares for his herd in the day when he is among his scattered sheep, so I will care for My sheep and will deliver them from all the places to which they were scattered on a cloudy and gloomy day.”   [Ezek 34:11-12    NASU]

To be in prayer for those who are in the yoke of tribulation.  We pray that we can be there to help the servants who are suffering from continual witness of sorrow, victimization, violence and tragedy.  

“Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”   [James 5:16  NASU]

To bring hope where no hope is seen.  To minister to the victims and witnesses of evil, pain or suffering.  To hear the pain of those who experience tribulation in their lives and bring them out of the darkness and into the light.  G-d is light.

“We urge you, brethren, admonish the unruly, encourage the fainthearted, help  the weak, be patient with everyone.”     [1 Thess 5:14  NASU]
