Personal Mission Statement Of

Pastor & Rabbi Bob McDonald

Shomreem Ministries Hospital Visitation Minister

North American Mission Board Endorsed Chaplain, Southern Baptist Convention Ordained and Licensed Minister & Messianic Rabbi

A faith statement is an illustration of the driving force guiding the person in the particular ministry and the reason he or she has for being called for service in that ministry.  The personal mission statement of that person, illustrates the purpose of that persons involvement in the particular ministry.  It is my prayer that as you read this you will come to know me and for whom I serve.   All translations of HIS Words and Truths are from the NIV Bible.

Who Is Bob McDonald:

I am a Christian called to the service of G-d.  I have been involved in ministry work for many years.  I have had many hours of training in biblical truths.  I have received training in Pastoral counseling and have served as a hospital visitor and Minister of care.

I am presently serving as a Minister of Hospital Visitation with Shomreem Police Ministries.

"See to it that you complete the work you have received in the L-rd." Col 4:17

I am also the Director of Cry of Our Hearts, a not for profit ministry that seeks to serve unwed mothers and their babies.  We also desire to assist local churches/congregations in beginning in house programs for caring for the ones who live in their communities.

“Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.”   Psalm 82:3-4

We believe the women of the community should come around and mentor the mothers in learning of G-ds unfailing love and forgiveness.

“He who is kind to the poor lends to the L-rd and He will reward him for what he has done.”  Proverbs 19:17

The men should become mentors to the fathers of the children if possible, to keep them involved in learning and accepting their responsibilities.

“He defended the cause of the poor and needy and so all went well.  Is that not what it means to know me”   Declares the L-rd”      Jeremiah 22:16

If you desire to be like Jesus,

You Must Accept The Pain Of The World As Your Own.

“Praise be to the G-d and Father of our L-rd Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the G-d of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from G-d.”   2 Cor 1:3-4

Religious Convictions:

I was presented the Gospel at age 12.  Sprinkled at age 14.  I have since been immersed in Baptism.

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.  He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.   Mark 16:15-16

I believe that G-d sent His son to die on the cross for me

“For G-d so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16

I believe that I am a sinner saved by Grace.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of G-d.  Ephesians 2:8

I continue to study the Word of G-d, believing in the unalterable truths therein.  Written down by witnesses, who were given the truths from other witnesses who saw the supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophecies.  They say their inspired writings to be given by G-d and I believe in their truths.

It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else's foundation. Rather, as it is written:  "Those who were not told  about him will see,  and those who have not heard will understand."  Romans 15:20-21

Other Beliefs:

I believe:     The Bible is the Word of G-d and it is inerrant and true.

“All Scripture is G-d-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of G-d may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”  2 Timothy 3:16-17

I believe:     That the Old Testament is the promise of things to come and that the New Testament is the fulfillment of those promises.

"The time is coming," declares the L-RD,  "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.”  Jeremiah 31;31

I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a  pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.”  Matthew 5;18

“It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the least stroke of a pen to drop out of the Law.”   Luke 16:17

I believe:     That Jesus was born in Bethlehem and that He grew up in Nazareth.  I believe that He is the Son of G-d, sent by G-d to save us all from our sins.  That Jesus was crucified, died, and was buried in the tomb.  In His resurrection, and that He rose from the grave and that He will come to earth again, to rule over it and set up G-d’s Kingdom on earth.

Jesus’s Birth:

“In the sixth month, G-d sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin's name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, "Greetings, you who are highly favored! The L-rd is with you." Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, you have found favor with G-d. You will be with child and give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus.  He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The L-rd G-d will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; his kingdom will never end."  Luke 1:26-33

Jesus’s Death:

“From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land. About the ninth hour   Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloilama sabachthani?"—which means, "My G-d, my G-d, why have you forsaken me?”  When some of those standing there heard this, they said, "He's calling Elijah." Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink. The rest said, "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to save him." And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.  Matthew 27:45-50

Jesus’s Resurrection:

“Praise be to the G-d and Father of our L-rd Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,”  1 Peter 1:3

I believe:     That all of us are the children of G-d and that we are invited to accept atonement for our sins only through the shed blood of His Son Jesus.

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:16

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."  Acts 4;12

I believe:     That the only way to salvation is through the acceptance that we are all sinners.  That we must confess to the Savior and invite Him into our Hearts.  That we must be repentant and in faith follow His will.

This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the L-RD your G-d, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the L-RD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Deuteronomy 30;19-20

I Believe:    In the Trinity.  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We need to be of one mind in Jesus.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit  Matthew 28:19
